In addition to its own invested solar power station, Solis Ortus Energetikai Kft. provides administration and management services for over 160 solar power stations all over Hungary (2019 Q3). The company’s SUNdroid online administration and monitoring system sends all the relevant dimensions and production data of the managed solar power stations to operations and investors in real-time, in 1 to 15 minute intervals.
Com-Forth became the provider of the I/O sign processing hardware infrastructure (ioLogik E1212) for the proprietary monitoring system of Solis Ortus. At certain endpoints, besides IOT devices we also provide network devices (e.g.: MOXA Switches – EDS-205A).
Devices running a custom software solution and designated hardware elements are used for the SCADA management of the managed solar panel power systems and the processing and database upload of other digital and analog signals. Collected data is uploaded to the company data center cloud and published on the online management platform using a secure internet connection.
MOXA devices were used because of their almost perfect compliance with the following requirements:
- Upgradability
- Designed for harsh industrial operation conditions
- Universal I/O devices with configurable ports
- Ethernet connectivity
- HTTP, API
- Good value for money
